Open for visitors from Wednesday, October 2 at 6 pm , on Friday, 4th October from 6 pm to 10 pm  will be officially inaugurated the exhibition of Paolo Vivian and Federico Anselmi at Palazzo Ducale, in the space of Artelier spazio artistico. The exhibition, entitled "To swollen sails” is curated by Elisabetta  Lodoli and Elena Boschieri. Vivian presents his wood sculptures in Genoa as a part of cultural program "Genoa in Blue" - collateral event of 53 International Boat Show. Hosted at Cortile Maggiore in the Palazzo Ducale Paolo Vivian exposes her totems of  memory and bar codes, which tell about the "sea within us", where is hidden the metamorphosis of forms of collective memory and personal experience. The "sea outside" is in the painting of Federico Anselmi who paints on ancient sails. The dialogue between colors, matter and human senses will last from 2nd October 2013 to 10th January 2014. Working time during “Genova in Blue “  and Salone Nautico from 2 - 6 October  is from 6 to 10 pm, from 7 October 2013 to 10 January 2014 is from 2 pm to 6 pm

It will be open on Friday, October  11th  at 6 pm at the Cultural Center of Anaunia "Casa de Gentili," Sanzeno (Trento), the group exhibition of FIDA-Trento, entitled "Melamorfosi."  Paolo Vivian will present  his sculpture in applewood  "Malus  Memory".

8 – 28 september 2013, Italy, Canale di Tenno (Trento) ,Casa degli Artisti Giacomo Vittone,  "LAKE and THE CITY", biennale FIDA-Trento

The third collective exhibition of  FIDA-Trento (Federation of Italian artists, branch Trento) with this edition becomes a biennale which will be held in two places – in city of Trento in Torre Mirana ( 6-23 settembre ) and in city of Canale di Tenno at the Casa degli Artisti G.Vittone (8 -28 settembre). In the exhibition named “LAKE and THE CITY” participated more of 30 artists – members of the federation. Paolo Vivian presents three works which illustrated his three different expressions following the subject – the sculptures in wood “Bar code white” and “Venere” and the installation of natural stones and wood “Skeleton Monster”, all of them exhibited in Canale di Tenno. In occasion of the exhibition was edited a catalog.

22 - 27 july 2013, Italy, Tesino (Trento), "Lights and shadows of wood" , XII International Sculpture Competition   

Paolo Vivian participates at XIIth edition of International Sculpture Competition named "Lights and shadows of wood" in Castello Tesino (TN) with 23 other artists from Italy, Belgium, Russia, Romania and China. It will be awarded three prizes with money value and it will be organized a traveling exhibition with catalog dedicated to the three winning artists.The project of  Vivian is wooden sculpture dedicated by the concept of women beauty inspired by ancient sculpture named as Venus of Willendorf.which was made 30000 years ago
The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, July 27, at 5 pm in the Gardens of Via Dante,castel Tesino

 20 - 28 july 2013, Italy, Asolo (Treviso), Soul Holidays 2013 festival, Mappa Mundi, exhibition

“Mappa Mundi” is the exhibition that brings together works who taken breath by "Invisible Cities", the famous book by Italo Calvino.The works will be inspired by the city, seen as metaphors of space and possible experiences; for places to live and for possibilities to live in its. From 20th until 28th July each selected artist recounts with his work for a city of Calvino's book. "Theodora" from the chapter "Hidden Cities" is the choice of Paolo Vivian who gives material form  of the city with his project "Skeleton monster" – the visualization of the human journey between beauty of life and transience. The installation of natural stones, iron and wood which is about over 3 meters will be exposed in open air-a  space for wine degustation near to Villa Barbieri in city of Asolo. The aim of the organizers of the project is to achieve a perfect “Mappa Mundi” in which the spectator becomes the explorer and will created point by point the map of the invisible cities. “Mappa Mundi” under the artistic direction of Federica Preto is an initiative of Fondo Plastico in collaboration with the Foundation La Fornce dell`innovazione in  Asolo (Treviso). The project is a part of the festival Soul Holidays 2013.

15 – 21 july 2013, Italy, Rango- Balbido (Trento), XXV International Symposium for sculpture in wood and murals

Started on Monday, 15th July  the twenty-fifth International Symposium for Sculpture in wood and murals in Balbido and Rango, near to Comano Terme (Trento).The event is organized by the Cultural Group “La Ceppaia” of Balbido. In event Paolo Vivian participated with other seven other artists from Italy and Poland and will created the mural named  "Love Landscape in Barcode”.

16 july - 29 september 2013, Germany, Forst /Lausitz, Reisigwehrinsel/Rosengarten, exhibition

Tuesday, July 16th at 6:30 pm at the Reisigwehrinsel park  in the city of roses Forst / Lausitz in Germany will be presented "Vertical Train", the monumental sculpture made of chestnut wood by Paolo Vivian. In the inauguration of the exhibition will be presented to the public the fruits of the work produced during the First International Symposium in Forst / Lausitz, which was held in May and where the creative energy of sixteen artists from Germany, Poland, Korea, Finland, Czech Republic , Italy and Japan transforms  a trunk of chestnut wood in the form  of memory, fantasy and hope.The exhibition at the Rosengarten Park is one of the manifestations in the occasion of the celebrations for the 100th Anniversary of the park and  it will runs until 29 September open for the visitors in every day. 2013, 8 July - 25 August, Italy, Baselga di Piné (Trento),VIth edition International Sculpture Project in wood  ”SEIxSEI”      
 
VIth edition of  International sculpture project in wood  ”SEIxSEI”  starts on 8th july in Baselga di Piné (Trento), Italy.  Organizators of the event  are the Municipality of Baselga di Piné  together  with   Copiné - Ospitalità Pinetana. The artistic director and curator  is the artist Paolo Vivian.
Livio Tasin (Italy), Roberto Merotto (Italy), the association  “Arti e antichi mestieri“ (Italy), Matthias Shieff (Italy), Franziska Uhl (Germany-Poland) and Petra  Krivovà (Czech Republic) were invited to work in the center of the town of  Baselga. One week for each  to  create  in loneliness  in the middle of the crowd a sculpture under  subject free but dedicated  to landscape of the body.

23 - 30 May  2013, Germany, Forst (Lausitz), First International Art Symposium  Rosenstadt Forst /Lausitz/

Paolo  Vivian is selected to participate in the First International Symposium of Rosenstadt  Forst / Lausitz /held from 23th  to 30th May 2013. Vivian will created his art with 15 other artists from Germany, Poland, Korea, Finland, Czech Republic and Japan in the Rose Garden in Forst. The theme of the forum is  "Every end is a new beginning".  It is an event dedicated to the transformation and evolution, which are also the objects in the project of Vivian named  „Vertical train”. All artists in the symposium will work in chestnut wood. 

After the symposium, the sculptures  will be placed in the context of the world  DEUTSCHEN ROSENSCHAU 2013 (The German Show of roses), on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of East Germany rose garden at the island undergrowth military. The organizers of the symposium are Stadt Forst (Lausitz) together with DSK Deutsche Stadt, Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. and Kompetenzzentrum Forst (Lausitz) eV.

2013, 17 April - 7 May , Bulgaria, Varna, Bulart Gallery, (e) migration curatorial project    

Paolo Vivian  will participate in the curatorial project  (e) migration at the Bulart gallery in Varna, Bulgaria. The international exhibition presents works of painting, sculpture, sound installation and digital photography of 17 artists from Bulgaria, Austria, Italy, Ireland and Germany. The theme is the identity in the age of globalization and mass movement beyond the limits of cultural distance and social models. The exhibition is a proposal for the intellectual journey of the heart as a search for Alter-Ego in the time of the merger between ideas and ideals between the microcosm of individual  and collective memory. Vivian will be present with a wooden panel "Composition without title".
