In archeological space of Palace Lodron in Trento, Italy from 11th December 2010 will be open the exhibition of FIDA /The Italian federation of contemporary artists/ named “Appunti di viaggio” / “Travel notes”/. The collective exhibition is in honor of artist Renato Pancheri.  Paintings, installations, sculptures, video made by 20 leading artists , members of FIDA will be into the space of Palace Lodron to 24th December 2010. A catalog was edited for the need of the exhibition with the text of Aldo Pancheri. Paolo Vivian participate with 2 works –  “ Aurora dello Spirito”  and “Bar Code”. The event is under patronage of Municipality of Trento. The sponsor is Banca Popolare Volksbank.

8 December  2010 – 2 February  2011, Italy,  Assisi, Museum Porziuncola, “L’irrompere della vita”, collective exhibition of 8 contemporary artists from Trentino

From 8th December 2010 to 2nd February 2011 in Museum Porziuncola in Assisi, Italy well be present the collective exhibition of 8 contemporary artists of Trentino. Marco Arman, Robert Bosisio, Marco Nones, Anneliese Pichler, Matthias Sieff,  Lara Steffe,  Elio Vanzo and  Paolo Vivian  are part of the project with
 title “ L’irrompere della vita”  / "The eruption of life"/ and with paintings and sculptures they describe life in the surprise of its emergence but also in its quality and research opportunities. This 8 contemporary artists from Trentino following its indentity , from different perspectives and often contradictory ways
express the idea that life is a gift that always welcomed and can be always found.
The event is organized from Saul Tambini , director of Opera della Porziuncola in Museum Porziuncola.

25- 28 November 2010, Hungary, Budapest, Budapest Art Fair (BAF)- International fair for modern and contemporary arts     

Paolo Vivian will participate in Budapest Art Fair in Budapest, Hungary with his new work “Bar code”. He is presented from Bulart gallery (BG) in curatorial project Heroes Corner, who is special part into the fair’s body. In Heroes Corner were invited 25 leading galleries from post-communist countries who have important role for contemporary art scene after the Iron Cortain and  they are leaders for trends in art market there. The work of Vivian is a result of his artistic  interests into the field of collective memory and his iron “Bar code”  was made especially for the project in Budapest.
BAF is organized since 1994. In this edition participate more of 60 galleries from Hungary, Germany, France, Austria, USA, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Poland etc. Simon Hewitt was appointed as art adviser for this edition of the fair. The fair officially open on 24th November /VIP invitation only/ and will runs to 28th November with working time from 10 am to 8 pm.

9 -23 November 2010, Italy, Triggiano (BA),  "Switch Off", VIIth  Edition of  International Art Biennial “Rocco Dicillo”

The project of Paolo  Vivian "Menhir  Five elements" has been selected for the seventh edition of the International Biennial of Art “Rocco Dicillo” in Triggiano, Bari province. This edition entitled "Switch Off" is dedicated to the art of metal sculpture inspired by the law. Participation in the contest is open to two categories - freelance artists and students. There are two prizes.one for every categories. The winning projects  made in the material will be placed in public areas of the city. 130 projects from 11 countries participated in the first selection. The project of Vivian and 33 other projects of Italian and foreign artists were selected for the final stage of the contest. The works are displayed  in billboard screens , installed in the town of Triggiano. The  jury  of experts and public voting by SMS and on-line will be awarded the winners. Maria Falcone, the sister of Judge Falcone and the President of the Falcon Foundation will announce the winners in the awards ceremony on November 23rd, 2010 in Triggiano at 5.30 pm.

The Biennial is organized by the Municipality of Triggiano from 1994  in order to honor the memory of the victims of the attack of Capaci in 1992. The Biennial of  Art  is named of the police officer Rocco Dicillo who was born in Triggiano and  who was in escort service in the attack at Falcone. The event is organized by  Associazione di Promozione Sociale Metropolis. The artistic directors are Michele de Francesco and Enzo Gioia. The base sponsor  is Fidia Serramenti.

31 October - 7 November 2010, Italy, Belluno, XXV International Contest for Sculpture in Wood

During the period 31 October to 7 November 2010 in Belluno, Italy Paolo Vivian will participate in 25th edition of International wood sculture contest . He was invited with 20 other artists from the Italy and abroad. The organizer of the event is Consorzio Belluno Centro Storico. Artistic director and curator is arch. Gianluca D'Inca Levis. The theme is free. During the first week of November the sculptors produce their works in the most picturesque corners and squares of Old Town in Belluno. There are three awards - the prize of the jury, the prize of the press of Belluno and the prize of FIDAPA.

25th July - 29th August 2010, Italy, Borgo Valsugana, Spazio Klien and Ivano Fracena, Castel Ivano, "MYTHOLOGY OF WOOD", curatorial project.

Paolo Vivian will participate in "Mythology of wood - 7 artists between Brenta and Cismon”. The curators of exhibition are Fiorenzo Degasperi and Vittorio Fabris. Other invited artists in the project are Alessandro Fontanari Nerofonte, Giuliano Orsingher, Giancarlo Scantamburlo, Simone Turra, Toni Venzo and Silvio Alchini. Opening: Sunday, July 25 ( Spazio Klien - Borgo Valsugana at 10.00 a.m. and in Calstel Ivano - Ivano Fracena at 12.00 pm.). The catalog is published for the exhibition with the text of the art critic Fiorenzo Degasperi. The event runs until August 29th, 2010.

3rd International Sculpture Project in wood “6x6” in Baselga di Pine, Italy starts on 5th July 2010. Bruno Cappelletti / Italy/, Enrique Jorda Calatayud /Spain/, Helena Garcia Moreno /Ecuador/, Piotr Bies /Poland/, Roland Cros /France/ e Elisabeth Ledersberger /Austria/ were selected to work on the beach of beautiful lake of Serraia. The theme is free. Organize the Agency for Tourism in Pine and Valley Cembra. Main sponsors are STIHL and Dorigoni S.p.A.. Artistic director of the project is Paolo Vivian.

14th -19th June 2010, Germany, Hamburg, Altonale 12 festival, On-Off artprojects, "Hau Stelle"

During the period 14th to 19th June 2010 in Hamburg, Germany, Paolo Vivian participate in the international sculpture project “ Hau Stelle”. He was invited with two other leading artists from Germany - Gotz Sambale (Cologne) and Martin Ludwig (Bonn). The symposium is a part of the basic program of Altonale. The XII edition of the famous art festival in Hamburg collected many famous local and international artists located in different places in the city. Artonale presents the level and tendencies of present art practices. “Hau Stelle” is a project of "On-Off artprojects"- contemporary art organization by curator Ike-Clef Prahm. Sponsors of the event are Potenberg Wohnungsunternehmen KG, DRI Djabbari Real Invest Immobilien GmbH and ICE Consulting und Entwicklung GmbH.
The official closure of the project “Hau Stelle” will be on Saturday, 19.06 at 6.30 p.m. in Spritzenplatz 5-7.

The event is organized the Kunsts-Forum Kultur und Stubenbergsee.The theme this year edition is "Dance". 03 - 16 May 2010, France, La Bresse, 20th International Sculpture Festival  "Camille Claudel"

 The International Sculpture Festival is organized by the city of LA BRESSE  from 3 to 16 May 2010. This year is 20th anniversary of the event and  will be in special tribute to Camille Claudel  through animations, an exhibition  for her life,  the presentation of several of her  works. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Festival has invited sculptors who received the Prix des Artistes during previous editions. This prize is awarded by the artists themselves who choose their favorite work of all those in the symposium. So, for this 20th edition, the public will have the pleasure of seeing or review: Brihuega Mariana (Argentina), Franck Dah (Burkina Faso), Tanja Roder (Germany) and Jan Spanihel Eduard (Czech Republic) taken the prizes in 2007. Rosemary Gerdes (Argentina, awarded in 2000), Enrique Jorda (Spain, awarded in 2002), Paolo Vivian (Italy, awarded in 2006 together with Girts Burvis with "Sheep Clouds"), Innocent Tiendrebeogo (Burkina Faso, awared in  2009). These sculptors have accepted the invitation and will work alongside 12 other sculptors who were selected. Paolo  Vivian will work under  stone sculpture

The Art of Progress. Presentation of new Audi A8 on 25 March at 7 p.m. in Hangar Audi , Loc. Stella, 42 in Trento. Paolo Vivian will presents his new project – the installation by stone, wood and words “Cani randagi“ /”Stray dogs”/ and photography. During the event the artist will give an autographs on special edited multipled litho. Curatorial text is by Dora Doncheva.

Paolo Vivian participate in VII International fair for modern and contemporary art in Bolzano from 4 to 7 march 2010. He is presented from Bulart gallery /Varna, Bulgaria /. His sculptures are part of curatorial project “Urban dialogues” with Italian and Bulgarian artists. The project is dedicate to a hope for human natural dialogues in the spirit of present times. One trip deep into the city’s soul. Research of the pulse of the present cities.

The fair official starts on 4th of March /by invitation only/. Open doors for public are from 5 to 7 March with working time from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
